I'm still not getting auto-login. Dunnoy about anyone else?

We're meant to have auto-login?

Oh, we are. I still don't have it. Would I have to clear cookies for this site first?

Isnt it possible to make some static background image that is cached for a rather long time?

Just deployed a potential hotfix for auto-login, not sure why it fails because it works just fine on my dev-environment.

EDIT: Still happens and figured out why, it's because you might be using an url which is redirected (eg. old forum URL). IF you access a topic directly or the forums homepage, it works just fine. Keep that in mind for now, it's better than nothing.

Pretty nice. I feel change in the winds fellas, a discrete update to the games downloading function, a nice sprucing up of the forums, and a new full time forum manager sounds like something good is gonna happen soon.

maybe I am overly optimistic. but a man can hope.

I want to see like a big re-release of it with a few new maps and maybe a new pro in every class. SMNC retirees would come running from all corners for that kind of content all at once.

oh man and really, these new forums are ******* tits man. This feels like the future.

I cant see any autologin option either. I usually keep the tabs of my browser stored so when I restart it I usually end up on something like this: https://forums.uberent.com/find-new/12234/posts
That one provides no autologin. However by mere chance I just also had a link into a thread open in another tab. That tab was logged in after a browser restart.

Weird. All the auto login works for me. Using Chrome.

Punted that off to Chrome, hit Login at the top of the forum and this is what it shows:

Frame rate sucks in Chrome

Edit: Anyone else notice that you can report your own posts? Isn't that like shooting yourself in the foot?

I don't even press login. The site loads and I am automatically logged in. Also I haven't changed anything in my preferences.

Usually it sits at 0, so it's an improvement
I have an old version of Fraps installed, so I'm guessing newer versions don't put the counter in Chrome

Double checked links. The login at the top leads to https://forums.uberent.com/index.php?login/login
The login link for when I want to reply to a thread leads to https://forums.uberent.com/login/
Both punt me off to https://uberent.com/User/Login?titleId=42&redirectUrl=https://forums.uberent.com/login/validate tho if I click the "log in to reply" it tacks a "returnURL + thread address" after validate

I'm fully aware how it works Whenever you login it saves a cookie you did, when you return to the forum, the forum uses that cookie to restore your session by going through the login-process again, but without asking you for your credentials. This usually happens so fast you'll only notice your page refreshes.

There is no option you tick, there is no secret button, it just happens automagically

However, in some cases the cookie gets destroyed, which is a "bug" I'm trying to fix now.

Ah, I'm used to seeing "Remember Me" on login screens
Might be working now since during tinkering I cleared cookies for these forums

Completely redid auto-login, should work on all occassions now.

You can't delete your posts anymore.

Last I knew you could only delete a post if there were no new replies after it

You never could. Only if there wasn't a reply after your post. And I believe it's already been explained within this thread why that feature was removed.
