So i was trying to make a new planet, and because its broken atm, it created some pretty neat planets. That makes me wonder if we could be allowed to mix planet types, i know i might not make a lot of sense. But MAN it looks AWESOME imo. I call this abandoned overgrown metal planet Earth class planet at the beginning of its life cycle. (thanks to Gorbles)
I would like biome specific features on other planets, for example I don't see why an earth can't have a lava river and a volcano, or a lava planet to have moon like features
Yeah thats sound awesome. I hope there will be options for volcanos on other planet types. It can create some unique and different contrasts. Volcano on ice planet.
Ayup, thanks! I'd call the second one a planet at the start of it's cycle! Lava-cooling landmasses were how the continents originated (in the form of Pangaea and other formations) at the start of Earth's lifecycle.

How can you even get mountains like that? ive never been able to actually get the editor to make me mountains, i always only get tiny mountains :S which is sad, because they look amazing in your screenshot.
I saw a metal planet with tropical biome over it somewhere. Looked like an old metal planet being reclaimed by nature. Would be cool to be able to play on them Basically first picture but more green
If you set the water level to a really low number, like 20 and down then you can turn even tropical worlds into barren wastelands with mountains everywhere.
Got it too today when I tried the new patch. I think the overgrown metalplanet looks awesome. It looks like the ones who created the metalplanet wanted to disguise it.
Had a Tropical-Moon yesterday. Sadly it was a size 5 planet, so it crashed my PC while loading it. I have only heard it from my enemy (friend) what a strange huge planet it was

Devs use this for inspiration. I really like the idea of a metal planet that has things growing on it.
Sort of like the planet Onyx from Halo. It was an artificial planet that was disguised to look like any other planet.
I know this is an old post but damn, I really really love this idea..... I think having big snowey mountains on an earth planet looks awesome, ICE on a lava planet would be pretty crazy! I wsa going to write a post about being able to mod custom biomes but seems fitting just to write in this post really... Is there a way to mix planet biomes together with a slider of some kind? can it even be possible?
