Most of you will probably know it, for those who don't: A bomb is placed in the middle of the map and each team tries to deliver it to a portal in the enemy base. If you jump through the portal you get 7 points (touchdown), a throw earns 3 (IIRC). Player can throw passes over short distances, use teleport weapons to move faster/reach high points... The player carrying the bomb can't use a weapon. I loved that game mode, I barely played anything else. Can you squeeze it into MNC? Pleeeeease! Regular release, patch, DLC, mod, I don't care!
I loved that game mode as well. However, I do remember not being able to find a server a month or so after launch.
Well, it needs teamplay and you can't just run around guns blazin'... A little more complicated than team deathmatch. I think it might work great with TS or Vent though. EDIT: Just had an idea how you can fit this seamlessly into MNC: You have a super powerful battlebot in your base. In order to get it functional and win you have to gather 3 parts (energy cell, shield gen and main weapon) that spawn close to your opponent's base. But you can pick up a bomb (spawning in the middle of the map) and detonate it on your opponent's bot as well. A successful bomb placement will destroy one part on the other bot. If you have all 3 parts your bot needs one minute (or something) to activate. This gives the other team a chance to sabotage your bot a last time. Should they fail the bot activates and the game is over. In case of a tie the team with more parts wins after *enter number of minutes*. There, CTF and Bombing Run in one gamemode. Easy to understand, two slightly different tasks to keep things interesting and it kinda fits with Blitz and Crossfire. What do you think?
