    So I went ahead and built my dank super computer (a while ago but nyeh)

    perfect build for a lot of games but seeing that high-up cpu just makes me wonder how fast it can read supcom replays...

    you haven't ever thought of being a supcom caster by any chance? ;)

    I might be a bit late to the party on this thread, however I would reccommend you also check out Linux. Check out this article I was reading: https://www.1and1.com/digitalguide/server/know-how/linux-the-cost-effective-alternative-to-windows/. It might not be perfect for you, however is very flexible and it could also be perfect for you. Read up on the article I linked.
