'Ave a gander. Looks promising to me. A couple of other images: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2016/10/20/the-nintendo-nx-has-an-official-name-nintendo-switch
That actually looks like a great concept... the tablet / base hybrid is meh, but the portable local multi player, either split screen or with multiple devices... that's clever. Even better the controllers can be used independent as 2 if you have a friend around. It's so simple it's brilliant. I think local multi player is something that's been lost with modern consoles and PC gaming...
Probably- the lighter they can keep the OS the better- after all this thing is known to be powered by a Tegra soc- so it's a powerful mobile processor rather than a full on desktop class part like the PS4 / Xbone. It will be interesting to see what performance they can squeeze out of it- I think it will be somewhat behind the current consoles, but then that needn't matter for a Nintendo device. It's always been Nintendo's first party games that have sold their systems, and those are stylized such that the machine doesn't need massive amounts of power.
For me, concerns are: Battery life, controller size, price, game line-up and support (3rd party), backwards compatibility and nintendophobes.
those exist? nobody's scared of or mad at nintendo at least not the mainstream that I know of. nintendo has (not only a huge following but also) this very advantageous neutral position in the console war where everybody's fine with them.
I came here just to like the GIF that tatsujb posted. It's been doing the rounds online and it's brilliant. Also pretty interested in the Switch. Might be the first console since the GBA that I actually buy!
