If I had the power to change any one thing in Planetary Annihilation, it'd probably be scale. That may seem vast, but it is. It's unit sizes per planet, per terrain-feature, it's unit cost, unit health, unit damage, average number of units used... Seen too many good mods to know that there were more extreme ratios between bot and tank units, and were less extreme t1 to t2 jumps, and goodness only knows how well some other things would be.

Everything needs to explode into shards of candy, not fire and smoke.

    Everything always needs more candy.

Runtime CSG and permanent decals both need to be fixed, especially so asteroids can be balanced again.

    Make rockets work properly.

I know what I'd do! I would change the T1 Tank's name back to its true one; BOLO! :p

More CSG, Hover tanks, Different mines (nuclear etc.), A tr2 air transport that can pick up a com, making tr1 transport only support tr1 units etc, The asteroid texture for moons, Multiple lines of symmetry for planet editing, A defence against incoming asteroids, A .papa importer exporter for 3ds max, A combat fab the makes dead units alive again, metal makers, A transport unit capable of supporting more than one unit, and above all else, More PA

Make it so the pathfinding doesn't **** the bed after a short while.

So I can actually have a total war rather then having five minutes of fun in T2 before my troops loose all their brain cells and get stuck on walls rather then clogging up the AI's quick teching ***.

    I miss the craters.

I d love a galactic campaign similar to the campaign of the game "Star Wars: Force of Corruption"

    Better servers

For the System Designer more options to design planets and CSG are required, and a button to delete all CSG on the planet.

    Deffense tower consume energy

    T3 Energy plants

    Gas planets destroyer

Enable the possibility to send a planet to the sun

    Steal technologies from other factions

    Units get experience

Better behaviors for units movement, they use to get anchored to CSG

    Better AI

Include a pastafarian commander inspired in the Flying Spaghetti Monster

What would integrating vulkan mean for pa?
If i could change anything about PA, it would be the many pathfinding bugs as well as a few bad design decisions having to do with implementation of area commands and UI responsiveness.
The only thing that bothers me more than the bugs are the amount of possible players driven off by them.

I hate to say it, but the option to have a unit cap to be able to play a lag free game.

I believe this is the main reason some people say the game is not optimised or buggy.
(you can't optimise a game with no unit limits)

probably a lot of work for little benefit, what the game needs to run better is an improved LOD

Command & Conquer never had a unit cap and did just fine. In PA, they probably wanted to show off how many units they could have, so you can build a lot of units in a very short period of time compared to classic TA and supcom. when there is no cap it comes down to how many units you can make how fast, so simply scale that back a bit and the problem will resolve itself

Because the question didn't really set a reasonableness limit, I would change galactic war into a storied campaign and add modding support for scenario type maps.

cnc had other ways to limit the units you made.
    I.e finite resources.

All other games before (that i know of) with the same type if infinite resources had a unit cap. I know it can be done in other ways like ashes uses a upgradable supply limit type mechanic.

don't get me wrong I'm not against having no unit cap, but it would be nice to have the option, to help reduce lag without massively changing the game.
