I'm just going to ignore Tatsu from now on, Kiwi. It's not worth at this point. He's spewing bullcrap like a faulty lawnmower. He's not providing sources, and he's trolling us with comedy central and late shows as stand-ins for any of his arguments. Basically, he's being a sheep. I'm tired of it.

I was going to post some stats about police shootings per capita, normalized for population sizes, but then I realized that it really didn't matter - one of these blowhards would decry my post as invalid for one reason or another regardless.

    I'm done arguing with idiots.

@mered4 actually your stats are welcome but your efforts to seem like you have any then get away with doing no research but posting a reply anyways without said stats isn't :p

and I'm to blame because I'm the only one here posting anything other than personal anecdotes?
this is irony taken to a whole new level. well done sir : D !

We've provided sources. We're done now. Btw, you should have watched the late show before. Back in my day, when wasn't liberal biased crap, it was actually good. Ah, to be a kid again.

As far as vetting who gets to have one, registration, and training, is vetting, just like it vets who gets an automobile, and it doesn't do a great job sometimes when people forget automobiles are dangerous and destroy an innocent life.

They blame the driver, not the automobile, and they should train, register, and hold responsible, the owner, and not the firearm, in each and every case.

When you "vet" everyone from owning one, when they were "good enough" to defend your country and hold a security job and everything else, then how can you say who "should" own one. Again, I still say we take them from police and politician security details first. They DON'T need one, a nonlethal police force is sufficient, you say, so show me.

Do you know who Stephen Colbert is? You know what, I'm asking too much from you... but hey, here's one of the last good ones I seen.

that ......has very little credibility yeah I think I know who he is as I've watched like hundreds of videos of him recently.

I don't see how that forwards your argument. I watched that video but on another one of his vids Trevor makes it clear that setting up a country-wide fully functional health care system is something that takes much much more than one year let alone eight. nobody's denying it isn't functional as per this argument of mine waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the thread : https://forums.uberent.com/threads/the-murrica-politics-thread.70907/page-27#post-1125791.

but it's like incredible if you think you know these guys better than me. I'd love to take you on on a "what they said what they didn't say" contest.
my french health care system is like the best in the world you never have to pay for anything or next to that it's pretty fuckin bad-***. I paid 500 total bucks for both my lazik surgeries and for any pill related stuff you just walk into a pharmacy show your prescription and they swipe your social security card you walk out. it's pretty fuckin nuts. but we didn't get there in a fortnight hooooo no.

@tatsujb , I don't see how your facts are the complete ones. You act like mine are nonexistent, when they are very factual so they have to be at least partial. I do a great job of conveying that, they are percentages, of what relation that percent is, and how that also includes the "other side's" percent and how their percent is much smaller. Again, if this is a divided argument with no strong evidence either way and evidence supporting both sides, then I can only imagine the correct course of action is "If it isn't broke, don't fix it", thus NOT creating random new laws that a lot of evidence supports will make things worse.

wow kool, a politics thread i didn't know existed. I need to gag myself from posting too much though. Legion people already know how annoying i can be.

Quick skim through and i get reminded a lot of the old saying
"If you aren't a liberal at 25, you have no heart. If you aren't a conservative at 35 you have no brain."

Kiwi seems to be an anomaly though. What a weirdo that guy.

At the moment Libertarian party is on the ballot for about 35ish states out of the 52. Greens are on about 25ish of them.

Americans are kinda weird as well since you can 'write-in' a candidate. Like literally write the name of the candidate you are voting for if they are not listed on the ballot. Some kind of black magic.

Libertarians and Greens will end up on more states, as most of the ones they aren't on yet haven't had ballot access deadlines pass. Greens were on 36 states + DC last election, and they'll probably end up meeting or exceeding that this year. Gary Johnson was on 48 states + DC last election, and is expected to be on ballot everywhere this time.

Write-ins are kinda weird. In Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Iowa, and Oregon, you can write anyone in and it will count, but in other states you need to register as a write-in candidate in order for write-in votes for you to count.

Wait does that mean I can actually vote for MYSELF to be the next president? And if I go and somehow mindwash half of all Americans and put down my name as well I'll become US president? :D

well I guess if I mindwash half of the us population I might as well just directly make myself supreme overlord instead.
