According to a friend of mine (massive Warcraft geek), the movie is mostly for people who understand the lore of the universe and not much else. A video game adaptation being made for fans of the game it's based on? WHAT BIZARRO WORLD BULLSHIT IS THIS???
I havent seen it yet, but what I've heard has made me dismiss it as yet another video game into movie adaptation failure. They tried too hard to bring everything they possibly could into the movie instead of picking a tiny story to focus on. They really should learn from Marvel and Disney and ESPECIALLY Star Wars on this one. The reviews I've read basically said the story wasn't interesting or coherent and the characters were hardly interesting and essentially washed over (with exception).
Independence day was silly fun. I would be shocked if ID: resurgence suddenly were meaningful and deep.

To be fair I'd watch it if it was about Tetris, the game. Like a documentary trilogy. Which sounds ridiculous. But a trilogy based on Tetris sounds worse so... Anyway, Netflix Aus just added all the old Star Treks to the catalogue so if you'll excuse me I need to get back to Deep Space 9. Odo 4 lyf.
I know this is an old movie and everyone's probably seen it a billion times but it's an old favorite of mine and worth a rewatch and for those who haven't seen it yet : don't watch the following video and go watch the full movie now
watched the movie our kind of traitor with evan mcgregor and stellan skarsgard (played bill turner in pirates of the caribean and doc selvic in thor) movie was alright but a bit too linear to be worth watching in the cinema
watched star trek beyond this night ... what shall i say it did entertain me fairly well i saw cooler and more crazier stuff than that tonight ... still neat do
