    Hey guys,

well like described in the topic, i´ve got the issue that when an enemy Commaner (yeah only Commander) shoots...its lagging like hell. I run the game in uber-settings and its fine the whole time even in big fights, but if the enemy commander starts shooting (even at only 1 unit) it starts to lag.
    pls help me :(

    thx
    greetings Shuuji

    P.S.: i got PA:TITANS

    PC-Specs:
    Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz
    RAM: 32768MB
Graphic: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4096MB
    Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586)

Could you post some logs and your DxDiag.txt?
    See https://wiki.palobby.com/wiki/Windows#Reporting_Windows_Issues for instructions.

That's ok, Titans and classic are pretty much the same technology-wise anyway. :)

And thanks for the logs. I noticed that your NVidia card is not using the latest drivers. You current drivers are not that old, but it would be a good step to try the latest drivers first. Just in case it is a driver problem that has since been fixed. For your card, you can get the latest here: http://www.nvidia.de/download/driverResults.aspx/104011/de
After that, can you upload a new PA log for a game where you had the lag again?

Same problem here. The game runs buttery smooth until the commander starts firing, at which point I get massive stuttering, not just on the video, but the audio as well. Video drivers are up to date according to GeForce Experience. I hope you guys are able to find and fix this; it's really killing the game for me. I attached my DxDiag and a log where it happened to me pretty much every game right before the end.

Can you both try without mods and see how that goes. Particularly the commander green spray one. Both have that installed. @dom314 you know if this causes lag?

This has been happening since before I had any mods installed.

I don't think that particular effect has anything to do with it, it only changes the fab effect, so the firing is not altered. This sounds a lot like the issue that another player had where the sounds were actually causing the stuttering. I guess we could try disabling the commander fire sounds to see if that helps?

I experienced the same problem, game goes all laggy when enemy commander started shooting.
Restarting the game solved the problem for now.

Edit: after 2 matches the problem is back.

Edit2: It seems the lag is more related to shooting planes out of the sky.
as long as the enemy commander shoots at ground units, it all runs like a charm.
    Can someone confirm this?

Any updates on this issue? I have the same problem - buttery smooth frame rate (i have a 980ti) until the enemy commander starts firing its weapons. What a baffling bug...

Can you both try running PA with "--no-audio". You should be able to set that in the Launch Properties if you right click on the game in Steam. Just trying to see if it's an audio or graphical effect.

I played 10 battles in Galactic War with the --no-audio launch option and sure enough, I experienced no stuttering upon engaging with the enemy commander. That's fascinating, though frustrating.

Thank you for the suggestion, I guess that's my solution for now.

    Hello again!

First of all, thank you all for the friendly support, i solved 2 issues today.

    1. No more stuttering when the enemy commander is firing.
(I extracted the fmod soundfiles into the game directory)

    2. While on it, i stumbled about the green planet bugfix.
Thx to the mod, its fixed, too.

    Have splendid battles :)
