I won a giveaway on reddit, but I'm not particularly interested in Lady Indiana. What I AM interested in is killing dem aliens. The guy I won it from got it with his GPU so you have to redeem through the Gforce website. Rise is $60 on Steam, and so is XCOM 2. But as long as it's a valid copy I don't care if you get a deal from GMG or something. If I get XCOM 2 out of it that's a fair deal as far as I care. Just make sure you can get a refund in case the code is a dud. Proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/459l6x/giveaway_rise_of_the_tomb_raider/
Yeah, kind of odd. Also, from the Reddit post Geers linked to: Why enter the giveaway if you don't even like the game? Now you are denying the game to somebody that would actually like to play it. That's a bit iffy.
It's basically a trade. They're the same price. If nobody wants it I'll give it to a friend that does. Why enter the giveaway? Because why not? I'm not trying to scam anyone here guys. I'm just trying to make two people happy with one purchase. Ideally: Mr. Red wants to buy Tomb Raider. Mr. Red gets Tomb Raider from me and uses the money he would have spent on Tomb Raider to gift me XCOM. I'm not trying to cheat anyone here, don't hate me .
An FYI: In the game trading market, game keys will always be worth less than actual copy of the game (steam gifts). They're worth even less in the eyes of many if the game key isn't a steam key, good luck Geers.
I'm not trying to break into the seedy underbelly of Steam trading. I just want to swap games basically. Like in the good old days when they came in boxes.
