[WIP][Server] Imperial Legion (Faction)

    So I know it may be to late, but, when I heard that the comms could only be replaced, I decided to make a Tank based Legion Comm since Aeson was the candidate be replaced. its only a drawing, some minor details but not much, did it a few nights ago before going to bed, it is a little rough. While I am not sure, I bet it could fit into the lore as well, you say that the Legion is just a different series of Comms, so having a tank based commander that looks similar to its vanilla series counterpart would be plausible.

    He is called Orbis Commander (that's what I call him at least)

    so ya... maybe the Legion needs more Comms? :confused: Make RockTeeth and Overwatch less lonely... breath some new life into Aeson, maybe he changed sides??

    would have posted this earlier but never got to finishing the older one and never got it to my computer until now.

    anyways, loving the mod and all the screenshots!!:p

    looks good, but it's too much work to make another commander.

    It doesn't even take 2 minutes to test though. And I put the mod on PAMM so it could be tested quickly, I'd rather not leave it up there if it doesn't actually work.

    Hey guys as i´ve talked in the main forums about commands hidden. Would you consider making some units self teleportating?, it would be extremely interesting in a gampleay stand point. Maybe to compensate for how op it could become the unit should be very weak

    that is extremely overpowered no matter what the unit can do. Even a scout with 1 HP and 10 vision radius is OP in that scenario.

    If you think about it maybe is not. If you can make a scout that does exactly that, yes it gives really important informatipn




    BUT it takes a loot of energy to do so. I'm pretty sure that if you make it so the first use of it involves the inherently cost of the ability in the creation of the unit you balance it out.

    You have an extremely flexible scout but that is really expensive.


    EDIT:
    If you think about it the hermes is exactly that but without the enegy cost and the travel time. Also why not make it so it has a 0 vision radius but it has radar?
    It may be a bad idea at first but I think it would be a pretty nice feature.

    Figure out a way to restrict the range of the teleport to be fairly short or within the range of the units weapon, but I don't see such a unit fitting in well with the Legion faction. It would be cool though to make a faction around a teleporting mechanic where they have low health units and require more intense micro to be effective (ex. teleporting around units to exploit turn radius of some units). I doubt though you'll be interested in making another faction after just finishing 1 and needing to balance it. ;)

    The "Shredder" Auxiliary commander is the new support commander variant. Its role and balance have yet to be decided.

    ok so I just got the msi of PAMM, used the link from my thread, so, does it need to be where it states it downloads? as it did not go to the PA folders, just into downloads, can I just make a shortcut and that's it, or do I need to do more?

    Also, really like the Support Comms.

    PAMM should work where ever you put it. I think it searches for the PA mods directory on its own.

    Man I think this a really good prove of how you got tp a point i like more your
    models than uber ones.



    Don't take it wrong, i love the main game ones and think the artist of this game did a fenomenal job, texture, theme and model wise. But this has a creativity not halted by the intended look of the whole game. This creativity at it's best.

    Looks quite nice. Great work with the concept.
    If we do make another com though it will likely be after the release of the mod as I would like to focus down on getting the rest of the core content done first.

    just thought will it work with titans? also, where do I find client mods on here?

    EDIT: found the mod, but still curious about the titan compatibility.

    good, just wanted to make sure. so just to know how it works, by just clicking install, it is now working, correct? or is there something in the game I have to do it turn it on?
