Just logged into Star Citizen for the first time in 5eva. >Woke up in space station > Stared out window in awe of the big rotating bits > Got into my ship > Sat at the controls. Realized I completely forgot how to fly > Manage to take off and get to a comm station > Managed to kill one pirate, bumped into another and he flew into the satellite. > EVA'd into the comm station while the local security pilot kept telling me I should EVA into the comm station to fix it every five flucking seconds. > Fix it. Get back in my ship. more pirates show up. Quantum jump just a second after I get hit by a bloody missile. > Approach the security station place. Framerate tanks. Break off an entire wing trying to land. > Get myself an SMG. > Get back to landing pad, see someone's big menacing Vanguard just sitting there on a nearby launchpad. > Spend 5 minutes trying to figure out how the fluck to get onboard while expecting the pilot to come back and splatter me. > Manage to get inside, take off. Start flying away. Suckers! > Error: Connection Timed Out What a game.
I mean, they're interesting concepts and all, but a game needs gameplay. Last time i checked, Space Engineers had less gameplay than minecraft (an achievement in itself) and No Mans Sky seems little more than a 3D wallpaper explorer.
you don't get it then. would you say KSP has no gameplay as well? and how does minecraft have no gameplay? I disagree. it's very enthralling. I've never known a game to give me bigger jump-scares nor scared me as much for being in a situation of not knowing your way home nor make me sadder at one of my deaths. it's a question of opinion !
I do not see what connection you're trying to make here. KSP has gameplay, but it's very much a Spaceship Simulator. Day 1: full suit of Iron Day 3: full suit of diamond. Thats your progression. After that you wander around wondering what you're supposed to do next. You can mess around a bit with individual features, but nobody at mojang ever thought "maybe we should make it a coherent whole"? There's no progression and thus no difficulty in the game, as "survival" has more and more become "Creative Lite". Food is there, but it's plentiful and it doesn't really impact your gameplay. Enchanting stuff is pretty nice, but it's by no means a necessity to survive your night. And if you don't like the night, you can skip it with a bed, which has got to be the single most WTF feature introduced. Night is not something you race to avoid, as your Diamond Sword and full diamond outfit allows you to survive it with ease. I could go on and on and on about this, but it's pretty much that there is no gameplay, because what challenges the game has are often so nerfed into the ground that they might as well be irrelevant. Just to be clear: i played a CRAPTON of minecraft. I just installed one very good mod that added challenge, gameplay, progression. Not by adding a zillion colors of ore and other crap like that, but mostly by tweaking what exists in the game, e.g. spiders throwing webs, aggroing one Enderman aggros them all, and food is a real requirement rather than an afterthought. I never once said ANYTHING about a story.
Mate it doesn't matter how easy the gameplay is, it's still there. The difficulty is irrelevant. Plus there's the whole Ender Dragon thing.
They apparently recently found out the number of legal boards in Go. https://tromp.github.io/go/legal.html
Got back into Warframe. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee If you want to get into Warframe PM me and I'll send you my referral link. It'll give you a week's worth of XP boost. Which helps with the early grind. If you've abandoned Warframe forever, gimme all your stuff .

Interesting happenings at Nintendo recently. First, they contact Toby Fox, developer of Undertale. http://gonintendo.com/stories/25143...-reaches-out-to-undertale-creator-for-unknown Then the CEO of Nintendo says that hiring young staff, including developers is the future to Nintendo's success. http://mynintendonews.com/2016/02/0...rategy/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter WHAT COULD IT MEAN???
