After I click the "play" button on steam my pa dont open, instead it just changes my steam icon from blue to green for 10 seconds and then it goes back to blue... (yesterday I played the game, but when I turn on the pc this morning the game wont open anymore)
Strange so all of a sudden. I assume you tried rebooting and tried again? Anyway, could you also post a PA log? You'll find those in "%LOCALAPPDATA\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log". Just copy-paste that in the address bar of Explorer. There will be a lot there, so the easiest is to delete them all. Then start PA and see it crash again. A new log file will appear, which you can upload here using the "Upload a File" button on this forum.
So it's crashing the moment it tries to access the graphics card and the crash dump that the log is pointing to also points to a crash in the AMD drivers, so it does seem to be a problem with the graphics drivers. Weird that it worked yesterday though. Maybe there was an automatic Windows update? Or did you recently installed updated drivers? Did you maybe change graphics settings in the AMD control centre?
I did updated my driver, but was before I played yesterday, because yesterday I was with the same problem and I solved it by updating my driver, but today I woke up and I cant open it anymore ;=;
Which drivers did you install? The 16.1 Hotfix one or the 15.(something) before that? If it was the 16.1 one, can you try the latest 15.(something) ones? (Or the other way around?)
I tried to update my driver to 16.1 two times but my computer doesnt let me do it, it just continues on the 15 something... ;=;
Uhm.. huh, that is kind of weird. Can you try (re)downloading the first "Crimson Edition 15.12" from AMD: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows 8.1 - 64 Then could you try going to the Add/Remove Software panel in Windows and uninstall the AMD stuff related to drivers, so Crimson and/or Cataclyst and/or Radeon? Then reboot your computer. And then finally install the drivers you just downloaded.
It worked, I think that unistalling and reinstalling the driver made it works... but Im afraid it wont last long... Anyway, thanks for your help If it stops working again should I start another thread or just post here?
