Save games not really working

I saved a game during the galactic war match. Whe I load it, it loads the overview map and I have to start again.
Do I have to quit in a special way? I chose 'quit'.

No, you have to choose "SAVE" during the battle itself to save the current ongoing battle. Otherwise, if you quit, only your GW progress will be saved and not the individual battle.

I saved after the commander landed on a planet. And then quit. Is that wrong?

No, that should have worked. From the Galactic War overview map you should have been able to choose "Resume". Do you maybe run mods that can interfere? Try starting PA with --nomods to make sure.

I chose "Singleplayer - saved games" and then I'm back in the galactic war map overview, with no resume button.

I don't want to disable the mods :/

Ah sorry, I should have been clearer. The disabling of the mods was only meant as a test to see if those are responsible. If it works fine without any mods, then one of the mods is to blame. Then you'll need to find out which mods is causing the trouble with GW and bug the author of that mod about it.

If the same thing happens without mods, then it's a bug in PA and Uber would need to fix it. Though you might want to start a new Galactic War while running with --nomods to see if it is still broken. Just to rule out anything odd the mods may have done to the galactic saves.
