   I have a 4.0 GHz 8 core processor. 16 GB RAM. And the game is on a SSD. my user interface is so slow when switching between units and buildings I always end up using my hotkeys and getting what I need done before my UI actually loads.

   Can you try running PA with --software-ui? Sometimes that helps with slow UIs.
