So I installed PA many moons ago via the UberNet Installer or whatever it was called. I have a shortcut to PA Launcher in my Start Menu that works fine. However, I created a link to PA Launcher in Steam so I will be reminded I already have PA and to not buy it again This shortcut, even though the properties are identical as far as I can tell, produces a fatal error "sage" during launch and tells me to check the FAQ which has a bunch of Steam related fixes. BUT, I'm not actually using a Steam integrated version, just launching it from Steam basically. Anyone have any ideas? Windows 7 64 3770K / 32GB / GTX 970 @ 355.98
Well, that's a rather unique situation. You may want to try disabling the Steam Overlay. Sometimes that causes trouble. Also, you could link your UberID to your Steam account. That way you'll get a Steam key and Steam will keep PA up-to-date for you automatically as well as run under Steam as expected probably. You need to contact support@uberent.com for that though.
Unfortunately, I had to Google how to do this because there is no such option for a Linked Game as opposed to an actual Steam game. Turns out I couldn't find it for a reason: steamcommunity.com / discussions / forum / 1 / 558751364325149930 / (Newb so I can't direct link) Oh well, I will see about maybe just getting crafty with some batch files and see if I can trick it into working.
Huh, that's interesting. Well, you may still go the way of linking your Steam and UberID. That would make the checkbox appear as well.
