    it's reeeeally basic spanish :
Jesus - "You shall forgive ofenses done unto you, You shall love your neighbor as yourself..."
    PersonA - "What'd he sayin'?"
PersonB - "Something about hating those who abort and gays"

I thought about that one for a bit. but really noone would ever blame anyone for "ruining" a work of art in such a situation even if the thing didn't actually work. it would be a normal acceptable reaction. not like the moron that tripped into the 1.5 Mil tableau who has no excuse :

Yea but that setup is just asking for someone to trip and tear up the painting. Really, why would you put up a tripping hazard near a million-dollar painting? why put up ANY hazard near such a painting?

of course they were being irresponsible when they set up the gallery (who lets people into a gallery with food and tall lattes) but admit the parents who brought the kid there were as well. He didn't seem interested in being there and as a result was careless about these priceless works around him.

frankly both are to blame here.

No I'm putting the museum at fault here. Anyone could've tripped there. The museum not only decided to leave a giant "please trip on me" thingy in front of it, but they put it close enough to the painting that if you DID trip, the painting would be at arm's reach.

They didn't even put the damn thing behind glass!

how many paintings have you seen behind glass?

it really kills the moment to have a reflection between you and the work.

that's THE painting I know to have glass security. it's also one of the most if not THE most precious painting in the world.

hardly comparable to a measly 1.5Mil painting!
