    I mean, I guess she didn't have to be in the earlier ones but I've never heard of her until I researched the name.

    The trailer kind of confuses me. They're acting like Jedi are some sort of myth.

    I don't read the star wars books, but I thought that Luke established the new Jedi order shortly after the end of Return of the Jedi, and this is a full 30 years later. Wouldn't they have been pivotal in some sort of galactic conflict by then?
