 CIG have issued an official threat to The Escapist declaring they will take legal action against the article for the allegation levied against Sandi Gardener. They are not taking this lying down (and I'd also say that they must be pretty adamant they are in the right as a court investigation would dig through everything).

Link: (note this is the same as the original response however has been updated with the new letter) https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/14979-Chairmans-Response-To-The-Escapist

    [shameless corporation recrution post]

So what are you guys planning to do in game? Because devs are saying that Star Citizen will have huge and complex economy system, are there anyone who does not really interested in PvP? If you would like to mine, trade, explore, [insert non-pvp activity here] - you can message me.

Our corporation is small now, and some members have some problems with their stuff, but we're in alliance with some huge military-oriented corps, for defence and other usefull things.

Nice to see some more non combat orgs.

Personally I'm going to see how the game evolves and will depend on what ship I finish up with (currently have the Mustang Omega racer from the AMD promo and an Aurora MR). I'm planning on getting a connie eventually so that'd probably be a good trade / exploration vessel (I'll probably wait until it's available in game though as they're expensive to buy right now).

Out of interest, will you guys be wanting crew members for larger ships if your non combat? I can imagine there might be a few people with things like the Merchantman, Reclaimer, Orion or Caterpillar that could use some more players and I'd be up for helping crew a few missions once the ships are in :)

Well I have an LTI Merchantman, and LTI Orion (I'll probably will sell it, because I need money). And there are 1-2 more people who has/will buy Orions. Our "CEO" has LTI Starfarer, Endeavor, and a crap ton of melted stuff.
So we have more ships then people, and each ship needs more than one person. We're in alliance with biggest russian military-oriented corporation.

We're small, but we have some ships and good connections. And our own site, which is empty right now, but we have it

We won't become a huge corporation, there are no reason for that. Something like 10-15 people is more that enough to control a small industrial fleet. With a lot of npc's, of course. And some more guys to shoot things.

Well now... where to start? Squadron 42 looks to be shaping up to be something special!

Also game play demo from the opening part of the campaign:

Also a nice demo of AC 2.0 (baby PU) that is apparently due 'very soon' although there is an interim AC 1.3 patch due first (this one has a number of smaller changes and is the first patch on the new merged game build):

Finally the new (very impressive, especially for web based) star map:
    https://robertsspaceindustries.com/starmap

There's a load of other vids (some behind the scenes stuff and some interviews with the actors) but this is the main stuff. The Idris frigate is epic (seriously wtf is the Bengal carrier going to be like?!), the cast looks great (Gary Oldman as the Admiral, Mark Hamill in as a seasoned vet pilot you fly with and a load of other great names).

Ok so the Senate speech has a bunch of other credits too. I freaked out over them like a 12 year-old at a One Direction concert.

I wonder if the massive amount of money invested in graphical fidelity and over the top animation rigs makes the end gameplay any better?

Well, you could always try it :p they have a free fly event until the 25th, sign up for a free account and fly all flight ready ships.

Personally I think the detailed modelling of the ships does directly impact the fight mechanics as they have modelled all thrusters, down to degrees of rotation and speeds etc. Certainly when part of your ship gets blasted off the handling gets 'interesting'. It's also notable how differently the various ships handle due to this, and how much redundancy military ships have vs civilian (lose a thruster on an aurora and you're doomed, on a hornet, no biggie :p)

    I've tried it,
I played during the last free weekend,
All i can say is i regret wasting 25gb and 9+ hours of my time downloading it.
I'll still keep tabs on it as it develop's like i have from the start.

I like the idea of the game and what CR want's to do but i still firmly believe the cryengine even in all it's reworked glory is still the cryengine and will suffer from all the inherant bugs it has to offer, most of these being network related.
This is the reason i passed on the kickstarter way back when it first started, when i read it was being developed on the cryengine i put my wallet away so fast i almost bruised a butt cheek.

    Edit..
I like farcry and crysis , i own them all on both pc and console,
The games are great and graphically stunning but the engine is buggy.
