    Unbenannt.PNG Greetings!
I have posted this thread because of a big Problem I ran into while playing this game called
    Planetary Annihilation: Titans.
It is one of the best games I've had so far but I experience some issues with the RAM in the game.
    Now here is my Problem...
When starting the game itself it already takes some RAM, like 185mb. Thats pretty normal in my opinion.
But when I'm loading a System like a 2 Planet one, then hohohooo, then BABY my RAM GOES UP like I would be running multiple Far Cry 4's at once.
It also happens that when loading a system it uses ALL and I mean ALL of my RAM, which brings me to the decision to get at least 16gb more RAM in my PC.
I hope somebody can get me a solution for this before Friday morning.
I would appreciate any help :)

One good way to cut down on memory usage is to turn off the local server in the PA settings. That will make the server run on Uber's servers instead of your own computer so it won't eat your RAM. Of course that means you need to be connected to the Internet at all times.

If you go to Prozesse, how much is PA using there? What are the top 3 memory users?

To be honest, 7gb on pax prime looks normal to me for PA?

But PA: Classic had a minimum system requirement of 4GB and was able to play PAX, no?

Not in my experience, 8gb was needed for pax. Single planet (maybe 2) was your limit if you only had 4gb of ram. Hence why the gw maps were so conservative.

So PA seems to be using only 2GB. Though all of the CoherentUI_Host processes add quite a bit, but certainly not 6GB. So it looks fine to me. The rest is probably just being used by Windows and other programs.

If PA requires more memory, then Windows will just shove other programs into the virtual memory and let PA use the real memory. I wouldn't worry about it until your computer suddenly becomes extremely slow. If it does, then there are still some tricks to get PA to use less memory, but if not, then you are fine. :)
