How much metal can the player reclaim from the wreckage? If the wreckage is 100% without damage, the total reclaimed metal is its original price? Or 50%? 75%? Another problem is the metal of the tree. How much metal can I get if I reclaim a tree?
There are two reasons. The first one. It is quite difficult to count the metal since you have many other building and commander which can give you metal. And you are unable to compute the total obtained metal of the reclaim because it is not easy to know how long it takes the fabricator to reclaim it. For example, the tree only takes less 1 second to reclaim it. It is near impossible for player to know how much metal it contains. The second reason. I believe that someone already knows the answer here. If he is willing to answer me, I can get the information faster. And it is not just for me, other players can also be benefited.
If you are lucky it's 100%, but over kill lowers the number. There you go . So if a dox has 100 health and tank dps of 120. You will have 80% metal cost to be reclaimed. Crap did I just see an exploit. What happens when you reclaim a built unit? Does it leave wreckage? Build factory, reclaim factory, reclaim wreckage.
I found the trees. The big ones are worth 25 and the small ones 15 apparently. See <PA Install Dir>/media/pa/features
Independent confirmation would be good, but you do have to do things like make a 0-metal commander and then drain storage until it shows unmodified numbers. My observations (now many builds old) Units leave (wreckage_health_frac / (1 + wreckage_health_frac)) * 100%, less overkill damage. in Titans typical values are 0.7 (41%) for units, and 1.0 (50%) for structures. The "1" represents the metal destroyed as the unit takes damage. Trees are effectively 0 metal; I haven't attempted to measure if there is a fractional value which accumulates over time. In practice you get 20% of the build power of the unit used, which I think is the tick it starts reclaiming and the tick it stops. I haven't tried it with the new bot fabbers which don't have a build power that divides nicely by 10, because 8 suggests 1.6 per tree. Combat fabs at 30 would get 6 per tree. (You can mod features that are worth more, but the math is odd) Edit: Forgot to check combat fab build power in titans, which is 30 not 60 for basic
So I made a quick test to see how reclaiming works. First of all I copied my commander in sandbox so I had 3 commanders (+60) metal, then made an orbital factory and made it build omegas (-60 metal, and takes several minutes so you have time to test out ****) so I had +0 metal income. Reclaiming a 100% wreckage gives you about 50% of the original unit cost, sometimes a little bit less. Reclaiming a unit that is alive slowly kills it until is dead and then reclaims the wreckage. Killing it gives you 50% of its cost and reclaiming the wreckage gives you the other 50%. Reclaiming a tree gives you a different amount of metal depending of the buildrate of the unit reclaiming it. Bot fabber gives you 1-2 metal per tree. Combat fabber and commander gives you 6 metal per tree. Advanced combat fabber gives you 12 metal per tree.
