I understand Uber is fairly against making the commander be super up-gradable like in SC: FA.. but how about a simple upgrade to T2 allowing us to be able to build anything with the commander? My idea would be you could take any T2 fabber and use that to build onto the commander that fabber's build capabilities. So to get all the capabilities you would need vehicle, bot, and air fabbers upgrading the commander.
Build proxy commanders Once you hit t2 the commander is pretty damn squishy, so its usually best leaving him to assist a static building like an AntiNuke or t2 factory.
I do like the new T2 subcommander/proxy commander. I'm pretty sure it only exists for bots? It would be nice if all the T2's got one.
Air would be kinda awkward haha. But yeah t2 bots is (in my mind) better than t2 vehicles for a lot of reasons. Proxy commanders are just one of them.
I never said I didn't like them.....or maybe I did. Idk. They're a useful option. Besides, locust spam.
I find it sad that late game your commander if basically worthless. IMHO once T2 comes out hide your commander, because a few hits from T2 and it's "Game Over man!"
Yep. Commanders should be heavily guarded in the late game because they are so squishy. It's like chess. It's not like SupCom where your commander could be anywhere from the front lines to ecoing up in the rear. Also, I've seen a lot of people play like their commanders are super units that can eat a nuke. Unfortunately, they're not - which is the main weakness of most top players. Way too aggressive with their commanders. It's just the way the game was designed. Proxy commanders are good at making up for that though
Would be nice if the Proxy Commanders blew up like a small nuke .. if they did I'd be like Rambo with them
