I'm not allowed to post a link to my crash report... bp-15ff6713-0cbd-4f31-a0f5-3b4542150822

When I launch through steam, I almost immediately get an error "has stopped working." When I launch from "Planetary Annihilation\bin_x64\PA" everything works fine. Clean Windows 10 install, up-to-date drivers etc. Any clues?

Could you try disabling the Steam Overlays? It causes trouble sometimes.

Thanks, but it didn't change anything.

Ah, I took a more detailed look at the crash report. PA is crashing while converting utf16 text to utf8. That's kind of a bizarre really. Do you have a Steam name with "odd" characters? If so, could you try changing that to something that only has letters without é û and that sort of stuff?

Hah! Yes, that fixed the issue. It launches now. Unfortunately Titans still isn't showing up, but I suppose that's a separate problem.

For Uber bug fixing, which characters were causing the trouble? Post the unicode number if you know it. :)

And check Settings -> Gameplay. If Titans is installed, there should be an option to choose it there.
