I meet the cheater

I believe that I meet the cheater.
He can achieve amazing metal in the beginning.
I check the replay and make some screen shots.

The first figure is the beginning at 2:03.
4vs4, Shared team vs non shared team
You can see the incoming metal is 20, 20, 20, 27 vs 87.
It is basically equal.


At 2:33
Their income becomes 675, it is impossible to reach in such short time.

At 4:34

His income becomes 856 metal/per second.
And he can build the air titan Zeus to attack my teammate.
Finally, he finish us in just 11 min.

I remember this game doesn't use the mod.
The lobby id of the replay is 428558776981801357.


I think this game is running on server side, but I don't know how can he cheat.
I can only remember the game is on either the USCentral server or the EUWest server.

He's not cheating per-sé (well, he is cheating but not in the way you seem to think), he altered his eco modifier before the game.
You can't stop people from doing this, he's just an ******* basically :/

Maybe that had set the economy multipler for their army?

As I post the first figure shows, the rate is 1.0.
Otherwise, we should see 20, 20, 20, 20 vs 320+.

I check the replay again, and I find out this.

Look at the metal extractor!
They are multiple extractors which can overlap in the same metal spot.
They don't even need to get the metal spot outside.

Uh that bug still exists? Last time I saw that was early alpha.

@jables you might want to look into this, assuming no server mods were used that should not be possible indeed.

looks like that game was in sandbox mode and you guys just didnt notice , you activate it like dynamic alliances in the lobby and it lets you copy/paste stuff with ctrl/c and ctrl/v

I was in that game, as you can see in the first screenshoot. I though they were cheating too. But it was in SANDBOX mode. No issue here. It's just we are not used to that mode. I wont play this mode again.

yea guys, always check if sandbox mode is on. Next time if you see it, you can cntrl + c a unit and cntrl + v to paste it as well. Then give the host a bit of his own medicine. Nothing wrong with a bit of commander spam

When sandbox is on the best thing you can do is cheat in a avatar worker and insta build a few titans in their base I guess.

To cheat in an avatar, Alt-F1 -> Ctrl-V.
