When I want to create my own system, and I attempt to save it, nothing happens.
I press the shiny green save button, and it doesn't say anything. When I want to quit the system creator, it says I haven't saved, and when I attempt to save it then and there, it still won't save. Eventually when I press on discard, the system I made isn't in the list.
I am also unable to delete any systems. When I attempt to edit any of the basic existing systems, and then save attempt to save them, it won't work either.
I should say that I am able to create anything that I want, but once I attempt to save it, I just can't.
There is also some kind of ghost system at the bottom of my custom system list, maybe this has anything to do with it.

Sometimes the database PA uses get corrupted. I've seen it happen multiple times, but there doesn't seem to be a good reproducable cause for it. The ghost systems is indicative of it. I've managed to get it myself as well, but I don't know how.

The only solution I know of is to completely reset PA, which means all settings will be reset, custom systems will be gone and any Galactic Wars will be gone as well. To do so, go to the follow directory:
Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\ (just copy-paste this in the Explorer address bar)
    OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/
    Linux: ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/

In there you will find a directory called "Planetary Annihilation". Rename it to "Planetary Annihilation.bak" (while PA is closed). Then start PA again and it will create a new fresh configuration. You'll be able to save systems again.

By the way, if you have any systems you want to save, I think you can still export them to a file first and then reimport them once you've reset the configuration.

I have tried this and it seemed to have worked perfectly. I can now create my own systems, thanks. :)
