Something that really bothers me is that Windows 10 has no volume mixing capability. And when using programs that have no stand alone volume control, (hem hem no$gba) it is frustrating. Anyone know how to get the retro Windows 7/8 volume mixer back? plz halp

Right-click, open volume mixer? Works for me.

I spent 10 minutes on google and found out [derp] you just have to right click on the volume icon [/derp]

oh wow you had me going there a sec.

that's still slower than left click. why'd they change it?

no, normally it's left click. then in the volume popup there's a mixer link.

I always just used right click in the past so no real change for me. There's no speed difference since they're both 2 clicks; left -> left and right -> left.

I personally like the new standard slider more than the old one. The mixer hasn't changed, but it didn't need to.

I read something like that as well, though it was more people reading into some terms that come with windows 10, I don't think anybody has found any technical systems for it so far.
Apart maybe from the "you cant prevent us from installing updates on your computer".

That's just wrong for so many reasons...

    Assuming it's true.

Windows 10 is great, but it has some really obvious inconsistencies. The one that bothers me most is not all programs are listed in the volume mixer. I don't know for sure why some show and some don't, but it seems like it might be connected to the difference between Windows 8 style "apps" and traditional programs. The Netflix app, for example, doesn't appear in the volume mixer at all.

It's also not Windows 7. So that sucks too.

    it's a joke.

At least Win 7 doesn't have a pointless distinction between apps and programs because somebody thought "apps" are cool

They got rid of that in Windows 10. Still call them Apps though.

I think that "apps" have their own volume control and they expect you to use that, rather than mixing master volume, mixer volume and program volume. But, I prefer the win7 method.

    dude it's probably a hoax.

I think there are some legal boundaries to such a thing.
