    Read you op on the 1 v 1 multi planet thread you started recently.... You were talking about uber Canon's firing fabbers to other planets..... Whilst that sounds awesome, I think you meant unit Canon :p

    In alpha when the t1 tank was first introduced it was named the 'ant'.... Dox were also called scampers.

    Uber later changed both names much to the community's dismay... While dox stuck the name of the t1 tank has changed repeatedly, it kinda became a running joke, and @wpmarshall even challenged @scathis (one of the head guys at uber) to a pa duel to decide the fate of the tanks name (in the event Marshall wins the name would be restored to ant).

    The contest hasn't happened.... Yet :p uber were open to the idea so you never know haha.

    The best one was "unit cannon". At a time where there was no unit cannon in the game and people demanded "give us an unit cannon, you promised in the kickstarter video...".

    We had Ant - Titanium Insect - Unit Cannon - UTC-8 - Alleged Tank - Bolo (and I think a couple of others which escape memory)

    Ant, Pounder, Titanium Insect, Histericlese, Alleged Tank, UTC-8, Unit Cannon, Scamper, Bolo, Ripper, Bolo

    Ripper was from a community contest to get into Uber's Cloak and Danger tournament. It was suggested by @allister.

    Some people, in their confusion, add modded names to the list.

    It's a touchy subject with many people staunchly on both sides of the 'ant' debate.... me, I'm a floater- at the end of the day the t1 tank does what it does irrespective of if it's called ant, bolo or 'attack of the 100 year back hair' (to pinch a line from Exploding Kittens, which I just received today :D).
