    now you are mixing stuff up ..
    again there was NOOOOO critique torwards OWOM !!! ... YOU ARE NOT UBER (sorry for the caps) ..
    and just because that mod may work for you doesn´t mean it´s the direction uber might take ..
    they may as well do an entirely different way of orbital combat if they plan on re/overworking it ..
    and as i said "FUN" is subjective .. just because your mod works for you doesn´t mean it will be automaticaly fun for me or anyone else ... i haven´t played the mod properly to give a proper final judgement on it (as i am experiencing some technical issues at the moment) that doesn´t mean i would be happy with the stuff i have seen from it so far ...
    or what about someone else who wants to do his/her own orbital mod with even more orbital combatunits or more combat units that can attack surface from orbit ... HE/SHE might screw up/ shift the focus of gameplay in his/her attempt ..

    it is BOTH possible to find a good orbital balance or to screw it up/shift the focus too much ...
    and your direction is only one of many possibilities that may work/be fun/be more fun

    I wasn't talking about OWO, I was talking about adding new orbital units.

    i covered that already .. it is a matter of what orbital units are put in ...
    what i said before still aplies ... your mod is but one way of doing things and not neccesarily optimal either

    I think uber has done a good job with the surface battles/content. I don't think there needs to be major changes to the core game play.

    I play/host mostly one planet games because I don't view the current orbital gameplay as fun or interesting. Asteriods will add some importance to orbital gameplay (Asteriods may be OP since they now destroy entire planets). However, there is only one orbital combat unit, the avenger, which is basically a satellite with an x-wing laser. Your orbital strategy to attack a gas planet is massing avengers (a ton of them since anchors are much stronger). This leads me to believe something is missing from orbital game play. Imagine if the air factories built only fabs, fighters, and some flying defense laser or navy building only fabs, narwhals, and subs. I think, we could agree that something would be missing from naval and air gameplay. I agree orbital isn't the key component of the game, but it should have the basic format to match the rest of the game. We have paper (avenger), now we need a rock (bomber) and scissors (cruiser/battlecraft).
