    Me and Gunshin lost gaming graphics cards over that. The other things were obvious to me :p
    I mean in Starcraft you switch between the chats like that as well and I think also in SupCom:FA.
    The teleporter very clearly has a lot of graphical effects that show where it goes imho.

    Yeah an expansion would be nice, although doesn't look like that is on the cards any time soon (Uber's next project is that PS4 VR title, although to give them credit they are still working on PA which is a plus).

    I think they definitely would have a better shot at a campaign for something like that now though than they did with HR (most of the things that were wrong are fixed now) so you never know :p

    Thanks for the tip about symmetrical planets, had no idea that option was even there!

    I had some great games yesterday but the last game I played was on a huge system map that took almost 20min to send orbital units between the 2 systems. I think there should be a sensible limit on how big these maps can get, otherwise idiots like me will join them and get a bad experience.

    I still hate hate hate orbital play. It's so counter intuitive to the rest of the game. I'd be happy with them stripping it out and replacing it with a much more meta-style gameplay (like the original trailer).

    My take on how orbital could be better...

    Remove as much of the the orbital layer as possible:

    • Avengers are just ugly planes - dump
    • Orbital factories are hard see and select - dump
    • Orbital radar / satellites - replace with a radar probe (filled with some scout planes maybe) that launches from a rocket and lands on your planet of choice.
    • Anchors are annoying and mostly useless against umbrellas - dump
    • Jigs - don't mind these as they are only used on gas planets. Maybe they can produce fighters for self defence and to attack enemy jigs. Launched from rockets on the ground and unpack themselves overtime on arrival at the gas planet.
    • Orbital Fabrication Bot - dump
    • Solar Arrays are boring, not used that much. T2 power is fine - dump
    • SXX-1304 Laser Platform. Keep but make them super weapons - very hard to build and destroy :)

    There I think I just fixed orbital.

    Oh and make TPs a rocket too that unpack on arrival. With some air and land defence turrets.

    A trick with multi planet map creation is to create one 'main' planet and then orbit all others around that (as it significantly reduces orbital transit times). It's lots of individual orbits around the sun that make transit times a problem.

    As for orbital, I agree- I think make orbital only provide the basics to get onto another planet and have all fighting ground based. We probably still need an orbital capable fighter to prevent ssx becoming all powerful, although I think that role could be taken by the t2 Phoenix fighter (allow it to operate in both air and orbital layers as required).

    I 100% disagree with your orbital suggestions.

    I like the complexity offered by the orbital layer.

    I would make the range of anti aircraft turrets match the range of advanced aircraft attacks.

    Umbrellas and rockets would still be in game to take out the SSX. If the SSX was limited to one per team and controlled in the same way as a halley or catalyst...
