That was cool for about five seconds until I realized you can't actually remove them without turning the cheat off.

They were thinking of adding lighthearted miniguns instead, but decided against it.

    New info. Emphasis by me:

When Rico learnt martial arts he misheard "grapple moves" for "grappling hook moves".

Why would you bolt nitro to a bus? JUST 'CAUSE! *drops mic*.

    Nitro-boosted tractor racing: 10/10.

So... We can turn C4 into rocket engines? Sounds like Rico is taking lessons from Kerbals. MOAR BOOSTERS!

Thank god for that. Christ was money annoying.

There's literally no way this game can be bad.

They must have had a blast making this game.

More on this, a small warship-like boat shows up twice in the trailer, and it looks like it's player controlled.

Not exactly a 47,000 ton battleship, but still pretty cool.

Jesus what the hell is with the comments. Have people never seen a voting system before? Are they so gullible that they'll take anything they see literally even if it makes NO BLOODY SENSE AT ALL TO KEEP PAUSING THE GAME AND ASKING THE PLAYER TO PICK ONE OF THREE DESTRUCTION OPTIONS? How could ANYONE get confused by that? Are they SIX!? What is this? Where am I? What have you done to my planet!?

"When you have fun making a game, then it shines through the game itself."

Huh, it's almost like developers make good games when they make games they want to make!
    TAKE NOTES EA.

Which is why Valve games are so good, the way ideas are had is someone comes up with a game and asks around if people wanna do it. For example when the devs were porting CSS to Xbox 360 everyone remembered "Holy crap, I forgot how fun this was!" and they all decided to make a sequel. =)

That's honestly one of the reasons I wish Valve didn't take playtesting as seriously as they do.

Don't get me wrong, the lengths they go to make sure playtesters are treated with utmost respect is VERY good, but that respect is the reason F-Stop never happened, and it would've been nice if they told the testers to give this new mechanic a try rather than giving in and just making Portal 2.

I guess it had to do with the paints used in portal? I remember there was a paint that was scrapped that let you stick to walls and things. It's still in the game sorta, but it has the pink checkerboard pattern, and Im not sure if it actually works. (Gotten to via the source SDK)

Edit: Basically I remember there was a whole game based around the paints system Valve bought out the company after seeing their work, it eventually turned into Portal 2.

No one but Valve employees really know. All we know is that there was a game that was supposed to be made instead of Portal 2 that took place at Aperature before GLaDOS took over, narrated by Cave Johnson, and it featured this F-Stop mechanic.

Other than that, the only thing we know is that it was canned after a year of development because play testers complained about the lack of portals and GLaDOS.
