Improving game controls

    Hello everybody,

    after quite some time of not playing I decided to give the new improved galactic war
    a spin, and I have to say that it has improved quite a lot.
    There are a few small things about the game (not only GW) that - in my eyes - could greatly improve
    the way the game is played and controlled.

    - Please, for the love of god, give us a toggle key between line and circle area build.
    Most of the time I want my power plants in circles and not lines, same for nuke launchers etc..

    - A key for spreading out fabbers between multiple build projects. When you want to cover a whole planet
    with metal extractors having 20 fabbers selected you surely don't want them all running to each metal spot,
    but distribute amongst the queued extractors (other situations apply aswell...).

    - A key/setting for decoupling units from a formation in terms of speed. When you have a ton of grenadiers
    and dox selected, everything moves at the speed of grenadiers. Very often you don't want that (when reinforcing
    units in combat for example), but you want each unit to be at it's destination as fast as possible.

    - While we are at it: Actual working unit formations :>. It seems formations only work when units are standing
    still, but are broken up at the slightest movement.

    What do you guys think?

    @ace63 I think there is a mod that allows toggle between line and circle although it would be a good additional to Vanilla.

    I also like your ideas on fabbers, although I also think there is a risk that this could cause lots of issues as well, so maybe needs thinking about *exactly* what is required. For example, if your stalling metal, you absolutely want all your fabbers to concentrate on the extractors *1 at a time* or your going to greatly increase the time where your stalling waiting for multiple extractors to finish at once. That said, if your building up a new planet and have strong resources from your start base, then you want them to function as you suggest, so it needs to take into account metal storage.

    Yes I read that there is a mod, but I don't think it is possible to toggle it ingame via a hotkey, but only permanently, right?
    Good point on the fabber suggestion! Of course the distribution I suggested should be completely optional and toggleable.

    One more:
    A modifier key for filtering fabbers/combat units when doing rectangle selections.
    It is nice that they are filtered by how many of each type you have under your rectangle, but sometimes I want those 10 fabbers among my 100 tanks (and vice versa) and it's a pain.

    I think the <Ctrl> key does something to that effect. At least I've been able to just select fabbers doing that, but I haven't quite figured it out. :)
    It may just invert the selection, so it unselects the selected units and selects the unselected units.
