Seconded. yesterday i installed Anno2079 again. Played like 2 hours with a friend, then a third wanted to join. We quit, suddenly the service disconnects and none of us can play online. Uplay works, other games work. So wtf? TLDR: Games suck when you need to rely on crappy 3rd party stuff. I mean, i bought it via steam but then need Uplay to play it. Isn't one type of DRM not enough?
So the consumer version of the oculus rift will finally be available at the beginning of 2016, and preorders of it in late 2015. I'll be preordering it! Was super tempted to shell out the 350 for the DK2 but have since restrained myself because I know it's worth the wait. Everything they showed looks great and I can't wait to just use it- even as a faux monitor. (I mean It is 90hz, faster refresh than my actual monitor xD )
Just posting to say uPlay == uPain. I haven't had that many problems with it myself, but yeah. Enough said.
God damnit Ubisoft Also the Unravel guy was so adorable and nervous and I need to give him a hug and tell him "Well done u were so brave dun be nervous"
I must be the luckiest guy on the internet since I've never had any issues with any of the Steam alternatives.
I just don't like that they list the game on steam and make you download uplay, just totally unintuitive. =/
Just going to barge in here: Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay looks super simplistic and not enjoyable for the long term. Looks like a professional cash grab. GG DICE. Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer really grabbed my attention for some reason.
Battlefront II didn't simplify mechanics like ATAT takedowns for *accessibility.* Were I a game developer, I'd be looking to add some replayability to my games. That's what keeps people coming back, not *it's cool let's play it again!* The removal of the class system is an interesting choice - but I'm not sure if that's just DICE deciding to mix and match mechanics they like from older games. I'll wait till the release to pass judgement, but if it's anything like the gameplay we just saw, I'll be super disappointed after drooling for a week or two
Oh, sorry. I need to link a video. It's one of the many I watched on the subject, but LevelCap's observations and his talks with the devs struck a chord. :/
Sorry I'd rather be able to take down an AT-AT. There's no achievement in pulling it off by luck because the things never registered on the hitbox thanks to angle and flying speed. There was no skill in it, and pretending there was doesn't make you look great Protip: it was faster to do it with a lightsabre.
Speaking of heroes, it kinda annoys me that the Force Push inexplicably kills the Hoth Troopers. It's way more fun and way more fitting for the character to just throw people really far back. Especially if they fall down a deep dark hole.
I dunno, it looks fun enough. At least there's no over reliance on iron sights. My biggest issue was that the map looked INSANELY cramped. It almost looked like a straight path, rather than the open field maps of Battlefront II. Hopefully that's only an issue for one game mode. Also, apparently the flying controls are shite. But that's just DICE being DICE.
There are no iron sights. Only scopes. And the Hoth map in Battlefront II was also mostly a big path.
