Yes, just click on the name of the user on the side of a post, to pop up the profile summary. Then there is a light gray "Ignore" on the right side.
    Use it wisely.

I have seen 40 player games on size 1200 planets before. Note, surface area compounds massively by radius so don't let that fool you. A step of up 600 is 800, then 900, then 1000... 1200 is 5 steps up from 600, and 1300 would be like 1200+400 as far as surface area. 1500 is the same as 1200+1200? You don't even want a 3000, not until you prove you can play on a 1500 reasonably, that is for sure...

What people can't seem to understand is that this game is too far ahead of its time already. 50 players would not only require extreme optimization of the game, but someone would have to invest in their own server that could handle it, which is probably far out of the price range of any PA fans. So... all I can say is wait a few years until both UBER has super-optimized the game and the technology to run such has been developed by humanity and made accessible to the public.

This goes against what I said before about not having R.I.P. PA posts in other threads, but PA multi-player will probably dive down to the dumps in late 2019 at this rate and will loose support by Uber, but of course the company Uber doesn't really want to admit it because that could make them loose buyers. PA was ahead of it's time, and I'm very sorry to agree to as so. If the kick starter for PA had started this year, then I bet it would have had much more luck in receiving players and becoming one of the most popular planetary games into the year 2025 at least.

    Necro!

PA is scaleable up to a point. Aspects of the SIM that are most intensive are single threaded, but there's still a lot of potential that only the beastliest rigs can begin to tap into. @tatsujb used to play on size 2000 planets; it's only a matter of time until that sort of thing becomes the norm.

I don't really see how there is much potential as long as the important parts are single threaded. Wonder if we'll ever see freely scalable multicore support. Don't think any RTS ever managed to do that.
