Bah, I made the Wasteland 2 joke last time.

This time I'll just express my continued apathy.

There is so much Fallout 3 imagery in this trailer.

Apart from that, I'm pretty hyped.

EDIT: Also, this character model though.

    Little bit.
In all seriousness, I do like the GTA V-ish aesthetic they're going for. Looks noice.

Confirmed :) Please change the title of the thread! I was going to start a new one, but figured it wasn't worth it.

I watched the whole trailer with a huge smile on my face. It looks good, and although Skyrim disappointed me, I have high hopes for Fallout 3. The subject matter is just ripe for story telling and fantastic visuals and sounds. It could be so good. And Bethesda can no doubt pull it off.

    *optimistic* :D

I played 100+ hours of Oblivion, enjoyed it, enjoyed the mods, blah blah blah.

So I was super excited for Skyrim. I was hoping for things like voice acting and amount of voice audio in the game to be improved. I wanted trading and shops to be better and more useful.

But same old problems. Walk into a shop, and you get the same greeting from the shopkeeper. Every. Single. Time. Totally breaks immersion. Skyrim suffered from "let's make the game bigger and put more content in". Which means you get roughly the same amount of content considering the size of the world". I would have been happier with a gameworld the same size of Cyrodill or whatever the world in Oblivion is called, but more depth.

Like I said, it felt like an ocean with the depth of a puddle. Don't get me wrong it had cool stuff in it and I played it and enjoyed it enough for 30 hours or so. But meh. And also there was no high def texture pack at launch which made me feel like the graphics were not as good as they could have been. Minor, but still... HD textures please, I'm a PC gamer :p Bit of an oversight.

I could go on, but suffice to say Skyrim disappointed me a bit. I intend to play it again though, now that there are loads of mods and HD texture packs etc, and also now that i have a better graphics card.

The biggest problem I had with Skyrim was the roleplaying was completely fucked.

You can become Arch Mage of Winterhold after casting a minimum of 3 spells (one to get into the College, one during the ward test and one in Labyrinthian)

You can be a 2 hander wielding heavy armour user and still be a master assassin for the Dark Brotherhood.

Bethesda practically sabotaged Skyrim's replay value, it's absurd.

Wow, that looks amazing. I hope it has the same ludicrous level of adventure as Skyrim.

And mods. FFS THEY BETTER ALLOW MODS!

    Are you implying they won't?
A Bethesda game without mods is like a car without the catalytic converter.
Yeah, the car can still work without it, but it's best to install one.
