It's frankly not as bad as I expected it to be. In fact I got quite a few laughs from it.

I'm kinda tempted to buy it on not-Steam-where-everyone-will-see-it and play it off a USB in secret when nobody's watching out of sheer curiosity.

I just find it a little unsettling to see a game where the primary mechanic is forcefully pulling someone's clothes off until they die

Does anyone have War for the Overworld? It had a dodgy launch so I've been holding out on it. Is it any good yet?

I'm upset about the Blood Bowl 2 release hiccup. I was looking forward to getting some play time in this month.

At least I still have Qud next month.

The 'clever' thing about the postal games was that *at no point do you actually need to do anything bad whatsoever*. You can complete the campaign by completing the chores peacefully...

I picked this up a little while ago and would honestly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it yet if they want to try an RTS that's... different.

It's a geopolitical simulator, and it's also a bit of an enigma. You control any (and I do mean ANY) of the country's of the world and you have to work your way to becoming a world superpower, be it through economy, military or achieving world peace, and the difficulty selection is actually built into this somewhat. If you want an easier game you can pick a country with a strong military or economy, or if you want a harder game you can pick a weaker country.

Turn Canada into the brigand of nuclear war, turn Rwanda into an economic superpower, make North Korea bring about world peace. The possibilities are endless!

    However, there are some cons.
First off, the game doesn't have a great tutorial, and it's not that user friendly so it may take some trial and error if you don't look up some YouTube videos (of which there aren't many.)

Also when another country becomes nuclear capable it's almost impossible to annex them without provoking a nuclear strike (which is probably why no country starts with nuclear weapons). And the anti-missile defense system doesn't shoot down every missile.
But even with those problems, the game is still pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

It is realistic, but it's still annoying from the game's POV.

Especially since the nuclear strike is nearly instantaneously after you declare war against them, no matter the power of your first attack. You could literally send a couple hundred infantry into enemy territory and they'll send 50 nukes your way, and retaliation often causes M.A.D. to kick into high gear and EVERYONE launches their nukes.

Also, nukes work in a really weird way in this game. Even though it's a geopolitical sim, there's no real fallout or radiation to keep in check post nuclear war. Everyone just loses a bunch of civilians and military units, then it becomes a scramble to see who can get the most weakened territory and who can rebuild their empire the fastest.

Or you can just befriend nuclear states and takeover non-nuclear ones, but where's the fun in that? :p

Mr. Zurkon approves of this game.

Mr. Zurkon is sad that it'll probably never come to PC.
