Please note, I'm unsure if this has been posted before. I've spent a while looking for an answer, but to no avail. So, as the title says, I've been having incredibly low frames at the main menu, along with low frames in game. I've looked around, but it seems no-one has had the same issues. I'm using an MSI GTX 970, and one of the high-end AMD Athelon CPU's (Don't know specifically which one). Thank you in advance to any and all who provide assistance.
Which OS are you using? If Mac or Linux, which version and what version are the drivers? If Windows, could you upload a DxDiag.txt? You can make one by pressing <WinKey>+R, typing "dxdiag", and pressing "Save All Information...". Upload the resulting file here using the "Upload a File" button on this forum. There is also a thread "Investigating Menu Lag" that you may be interested in, but we should probably rule out other causes first.
Yeah, that all looks alright. Could you check if you have any software installed from the following list? http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/2/558751813508748383/
I have MSI Afterburner installed. I just tried the Riva Tuner work around, but it didn't seem to help.
It worked once? That's odd. Could you try it with MSI Afterburner completely disabled? Or uninstalled even if you can?
Could you try performing a clean boot. That should rule out other software from maybe interfering. Instructions are here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us
Oh, right. It could very well be. Sorry, I forgot to even ask. Yeah, try disabling the Steam Overlay and see if that helps. Alternatively, download the UberLauncher and bypass Steam altogether. (You can get it here: https://store.uberent.com/download/pa )
I've tried the UberLauncher bypass, but it didn't seem to help. Neither did the clean-boot. I'll try the UberLauncher bypass again, though.
Hmm, maybe it's the power saving features. Your problem sounds rather similar to the one here: https://forums.uberent.com/threads/game-crash-after-loading-v80462.68798/#post-1086401 Does that work for you?
