I had hoped for a response next week. Not within a few minutes on a Saturday.
    Thanks.

I think it's pretty safe to say uber don't want to break Pamm or any of the widely used community tools. Also this is what pte is for: test things and find problems before it gets to stable :)

Speaking of which. I just found this in the boot.json on the Linux version:
    Code:
      "~/ui/mods/ui_mod_list.js",

That can't be right. ~ is the home directory in Linux. So it's looking for mods in a ui directory that happens to be in my home directory. This isn't there in the stable release.

Oh noes! Dev response on a Saturday, the game is dead/dying/going the wrong direction/insert your overstressed description of impending doom here!

Seriously, thanks for looking into this stuff :)

I think FXAA should be turned on default in all presets except maybe low. It is so negligible on the performance and yet it makes the game look so much better.

PA always looks so washed out on AMD r9 280 video card. Anything I can do to fix that?

Are you running it in windowed mode? If so experiment with this and see if it fixes the cursor problem. Sometimes when I switch back and fourth with windowed mode i'll get this problem too.

Maybe this is already known, but the eco tab only seems to break if you WIN the game. if you lose, all is well... Maybe that is the reason for why the devs didn't notice it? ;p

I've switched back a couple of times now, windowed mode always gives me a shifted cursor, fullscreen always works correctly.
    Thanks for the tip.

    Ouch hahaha . Gold

I suspected something like it. I'll try to get a repro on my windows 8.1 system. Shouldn't be that hard. Thanks for reporting.

I use Uber settings but always switch FXAA off.
FXAA is horrible, it blurs everything.

AMD cards really don't get along well in this game.

If the washing out is a result of it being very bright, you can try the AMD Brightness Fix on PAMM. This won't work perfectly, as the mod attempts to cancel out the brightness and is a bit hackish, but is better than having your eyes burnt out on ice worlds.

@exterminans fix might also help you (though I saw no effect on my end so I'm guessing it is card and driver dependent).

If neither of these help you, try posting some screenshots here or in the support or mod forums, this community has a rather good track record at creating bug fix mods :)

@nixtempestas I haven't actually "fixed" it yet either. I only found two errors, which fixes can *hide* the original brightness bug (at least on the sunny side of a planet), but the broken SAO shader is still messing things up at night.

Just deactivate SAO, the effect isn't exactly worth it anyway with the current implementation.

I get the bug regardless of SAO and HDR, which is why I think it is very card and driver specific (I got a 7850, which seems to be a particularly bad one)

Honestly, this should be there for every projectile in the game.

The AI is trying to attack orbital units with Units from the Unit Cannon. Result, waste
    of units...

Just gave it a shot under Debian Linux, nVidia GTX660, driver 346.59. UI lockup. Seemed to be when I was interacting with the build queue.
