Hi! When I started the PA, I can hearing sound in the intro movie ... But when I come to start screen, or start the game, silence has come.
This may seem like a silly question, but under Settings -> Audio, the volume sliders are all on, right?
Could you post a PA log? You can find those here: Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log On a typical install %LOCALAPPDATA% will be C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local OSX: ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log Linux: ~/.local/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log Any one of the logs there will do, since the audio problem is always there, right? You can upload one here with the "Upload a File" button on this forum.
Ah, this one just seems to have an immediate crash. I'm guessing you updated your graphic drivers since. So could you delete all of the log files and then start PA again? PA will then create a new one. Could you upload that one?
Well, it looks like it's trying to play sound, but there is no error, so PA seems to think it's playing music at least. Do you maybe have the same problem as described here? https://forums.uberent.com/threads/no-sound-after-intro-video.64639/#post-1008550 I guess Windows has volume sliders per application as well?
Could you create a DxDiag.txt? You can make one by pressing <WinKey>+R, typing "dxdiag", and pressing "Save All Information...". Upload the resulting file here.
It looks fine, though it is complaining about the audio drivers not being digitally signed. That's usually not a problem, but I was wondering if you could install the (slightly more up-to-date) drivers from Asus here: https://www.asus.com/Essence_HiFi_Audio/Essence_STX_II/HelpDesk_Download/
Ok, but Essence STX II has singular driver for Windows 8.1 I guess problem in the Windows... because I tried start the game on my old computer and I have sound
Yeah. My guess would still be a Windows volume slider somewhere. You don't have something like this in Windows? This is just a sample picture I found on-line. When you have PA running, it should also appear in this list.
I wonder if maybe Steam could be interfering somehow. It seems unlikely, but may be worth a shot. Can you try the UberLauncher instead? You can get it here: https://store.uberent.com/download/pa If that doesn't help, you might want to try uninstalling the sound drivers and reinstall them. Apparently that resets the volume settings for everything.
I don't think it's hardware because you can play the intro movie with sound just fine. And presumably, the rest of Windows also makes sounds. Hmm, sorry this is such a pain for you to get working.... Could you post a screen shot of the Volume Mixer in Windows while having the game running? You can hold <Alt> and press the Print Screen button on your keyboard (Or sometimes called PrtSc) and paste it directly in your post. I'm curious to see what else might be going on.
Well, I'm thoroughly confused. That all looks precisely as it should. There should be absolutely no reason why you wouldn't get any sound... Could you try one last thing? The odds of this helping are rather low, but could you try verifying the game cache of PA in Steam? Instructions are here: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
