Yep, pretty excited for this. Used to play banjo kazooie quite a bit a few years back, can't wait to see what's in store for us here.

I was positive, then skeptical, then positive, now skeptical.

(minecart sections? really? please god no).

The stretch goals seem too cheap (Mac, linux, PS4, Xbone, WiiU for about 200k? wow) and random (quizzes! bosses! platforms! all the things!).

I do hope they pull it off, but i think they need to at least double it to get this done proper (so about 2.4 mil). Also, i'm not sure what kind of game they would've delivered for 175K. Look at PA and what they needed for a finished game.

A much simpler thing to deliver. They are delivering a game in a tried and trusted format, on a pre existing engine which already has support for multiple systems. They've already got a prototype working by the looks of the video in 3 months of development.

The reason pa was so hard to make was:

    1. complete new engine from scratch including a number of unusual requirements.

    2. multiple spherical battlefields

    3. RTS is a somewhat bigger thing to assemble in the first place.

The word Rare pretty much sold the game for them. It would have been hard to keep the money in my wallet if there was any.

Don't worry there'll be zombies and a crafting system too.

They added two more stretch goals after day one... and they've already been reached.
Now they added one more for 1.5 million £.

    1.3 million £ right now.

Kicktraq : trending to 15.4 million £, 8846% of original goal. Lol. On day one it was trending to 40 million £ even.

This is a miracle in crowdfunding.

And generally, PA somehow did turn out good in light of how much more difficult it was in comparison.

One of the future stretch goals they're teasing at doing is to buy back the rights of Banjo Kazooie :3

I don't see the appeal. What is it that makes this so much more appealing than, say for example, giant robots fighting with minions of cthulhu over shattered fragments of a planet? Just as a completely random, arbitrary game idea plucked totally of the air for comparison purposes.

Eh, different games have different draws. This game must have grabbed at the platform/adventure enthusiasts who played Ratchet and Clank and Capcom Nintendo sort of games. An old dev in that field, is just as powerful as an old dev in the field of RTS games. That was definitely how Comcept sold the **** out of Mighty No. 9. It is also how fighting game titles keep their steam. A powerful old gamer backing.

Why Human Resources didn't do well, is because people are saltier than Bender's Cooking... F'k people...

Rare has significantly more name-drop appeal than Uberent.
