    M-M-M-MONSTERNEEEECROOOOOO ....

yes i know it´s an old thread but this is bugging me why PA is still not on GOG
i dare say we should go over and upvote PA to get sold on GOG as well, update PA´s current stand and correct missinformation to hopefully get people intrested ...

on a sidenote one thing that is weird is that while total annihilation is available on GOG to my suprise Supreme Commander isn´t apearantly because of some pricepollicy from nordic games ... which makes me wonder if they did have some say regarding PA getting on GOG

But isn't GOG meant for good old games? (I'm not saying don't sell it there too, just that it seems silly)

Not for a while now. And if we're going to worry about what the name implies then there's quite a few in the catalogue which don't meet the good requirement (Original War? Really?)

@jables: I believe that both this community as well as the GOG-community would deserve getting an answer on that topic...

We'll be working with DRM free sites such as GoG and others for possible future partnerships. :)

It was really nice of them to mention you specifically. Maybe it was luck that you fell right on that hardline that is the precipice of online-only and offline-only. PA is the extreme edge of offline-possible while still being new, online servers with registered key, updated, moddable, ect. 1v1 requires a key for instance. Playing offline is entirely possible though.

If anything this goes to show that GoG is a pretty SMART community. Every internet related community has **** for community members, but GoG is proud to say they have roughly 80% or possibly higher percent of members who have brains when it comes to games. I say that not because you have to be dumb not to vote PA, but because they were fairly level headed besides that ambiguous 20 percent who couldn't understand you can in fact play PA offline. Some didn't vote for it with other arguement, acceptable. Most, though, sat down, thought about it, about games and morals and the bottom line, and decided that PA can be played offline and is mostly open coded to be user friendly and not restrictive, and decided that was the defining factor, and for that I give GoG all of the approval I never gave IGN in my wildest dreams. Have it. Have it all. Goodness knows IGN will never get it nor miss having it.

I think PA should be on GoG. I personally think Uber have found a good balance between drm free whilst maintaining all the good bits of online services- you have to have a paid account for those areas of the game that require backend services.

Why would they though? PA also sells through the Uber store, Steam, Humble Store, and Bundlestars already, doesn't it?

i don´t know ... but since supcom isn´t on GOG with them owning the IP plus them publishing the boxed retail version of PA gives me a bit of an uneasy feeling .. i may just worry over nothing

from what was last said nordic is their partner for the physical distribution only. They have no further say in about anything.

Also isn't SupCom owned by Square Enix or have they sold it to somebody?

Steam seems to list Nordic Games as the publisher. And from what I can tell Nordic Games won an auction in 2013 somewhere for Supreme Commander rights. (source)

That's nice to hear, but can you give us some insight why PA still hasn't been released on GOG? After what looked like a sealed deal because of the surveys on GOG.

Yes they are. I didn't mean they would directly create it but get a game developer to and they just publish. I really liked the sup com universe....better than pa

they hold the rights to the supcom ip which means they potentionaly could/let create a sequel
i don´t think you´ll see anything from square anymore regarding that .. ...

what is "true" supposed to mean?
