Ok, so I just got the PA importer for Blender, and I was wondering. How do I get the model from the game and into blender? I don't want to hurt the game so I though about asking first, Thanks!

I'm not sure what he is up to either. Usually he is at least somewhat coherent. :)
Anyway, you won't hurt the game by importing. You have already installed tie importer in Blender by the sound of it. Which, means you should be able to import papa files under File -> Import (I think). The models live in <PA Install dir>/media/pa/units. You'll want the .papa file that don't have _diffuse, or _anim, or whatever. Basically the .papa with the shortest file name. The others are animations and textures.

No, I know that but where do I search for this folder? Like where is the folder located, I have typed the PA Install thing in multiple places and nothing has come up.

I mean, do I go into appdata or something? Is there some folder with all the models?

Would have getting the game though Steam affect this?

Am I even in the right spot?

    I did App-data > Local > Uber Entertainment > Planetary Annihiltion
The only folders I got were Loaclstore, log, and some file of window settings.

No, that's the configuration directory, where all the settings are stored. I meant the directory where PA itself is installed. I'm not sure where Steam puts those, but if you search your computer for PA.exe, it should pop up.

If you use steam it should be in
    C:\Program Files(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\(PA)
(Assuming you used the default library location)

The only file I can find that is PA related this the one I found and the .exe the opens the game.

    or Internet shortcuts

EDIT: I think I found it.

I know I ave been asking a lot but here is one last question. Which one?

EDIT: OK, I got him, but I must ask, I had to copy his file and put it into a new folder for it to work, it hurt the game since there are 2 Aeson files in to different spots?

no, not the technical stuff, only simple things.

I won't hurt the game due to copying the Aeson file into another folder right?

No. Copying files from the PA directories leaves the originals intact and in the correct location.

Ok, Umm the blender UV mapping will not help, as Aeson has to many triangles in his faces, instead of getting a pattern I got a large pic of triangles, lots of triangles.

Anyone have an Idea for making a pattern? Someone said Pepakura on the Aeson Plush thread, but are there any other ideas?

Would Pepekura use the UV map of the Aeson model?

you should've seen his original post before he edited it. it was worse than mine. I was trying to give him some of his own medicine.

I can sometimes read people's minds when it comes to tech support. but that time i just gave myself an aneurysm trying to understand.
