everyday, but I take your point. although honestly right now it's just my fault for not getting good. once I pass the 1200 bar I can start gaming with the 1500-1600's again. I did that alot when I started FAF and I was at 1400. those games are alot more fun because you teammates don't even need to be on voice chat they know what they're doing so much. problem was back then I didn't know wtf I was doing. And now I do but I have a 1000 rating solidified with 1400 games played (almost all of which on 8 player maps, imagine that! xD). this means I can only join or host games with a 1000 to 1100(tops) min entry level. and some of those 1000-900ers.... woooh boy. TT_TT I'm slowly climbing now but I could be so much faster if I could invest more time in it.
I did something I thought I'd never do again (with one exception). Something That feels wrong, like I've invited Satan into the soul of my computer. Spoiler: Warning: Frequent course language BF4 was on sale. So I bought the premium edition for $35. Honestly in the hour or so I've managed so far, it looks like enough patches have come out. It runs fine, it looks great except for that RIDICULOUS bloom which I can't seem to turn off, no connectivity issues to speak of. Default controls aren't perfect (grenade isn't bound to MMB by default? Why?), the biggest issue being for whatever reason pushing forward on my flight-stick makes helicopters pitch up. Which is beyond silly. Also the main trigger doesn't actually fire the weapons. Also silly. The biggest issue is having to deal with the worst launch configuration ever created for a game, ever. F*CK Battlelog! Why in the holy F*CK is the F*CKING game menu not IN THE GAME!? WHY IS IT OPENING MY BROWSER!? WHO THE F*CK DESIGNED THIS!? HIT THEM WITH A F*CKING TRUCK! HOLY F*CKING! F*CK! IT'S SO F*CKING ANNOYING! WORST F*CKING IDEA EVER! *pats shoulder* I'm with ya bro, I'm with ya. rating on FAF. it really blows away the whole "playing with randoms" thing... ....at least over the 1000 mark, is what I explained.
it's a **** gamefinding ui when you've known better. putting something in a webpage notably with 32-bit browsers only for a 64-bit game (and in freakin 2011, common!! who has a 32-bit webbrowser in 2011??) is really goddamn shamefull.
that's my point it didn't. I had to dig up ie32bit because that's the only goddamned 32bit browser that I had at the time. and it was a flawed piece of crap when it came out.
No Battlelog should have been some companion app and the game should have had a MENU like every other game ever. Even the crap on Steam Greenlight doesn't do this.
You know what I take it back. The worst part is that ALMOST EVERY GOD DAMN ACTIVE OCEANIA SERVER IS 100% CONQUEST. There are TWO mixed-mode servers and they are BOTH hardcore. Which wouldn't be so bad if hardcore didn't strip out spotting, which cuts out like 50% of the teamplay you can do effectively with randoms, and the lack of hit indicators which is just annoying. I've really grown to hate conquest. At this point we can safely rename the mode "Clusterf*ckquest". Because unless you squad up with a bunch of people you know it's just an aimless battle with players just vomited all over the map. At least I got the Steam overlay working.
But I just started getting gud: The funny part is that Spleenhunter was the guy driving the tank I was the gunner in.
