its the second time I post a thread about this.
but I can't seem to fix it.
for some reason I can't play multiplayer.
however I can play 1v1 ranked matches and galactic war.
please if you come up with any ideas...
    Help me!

(For others: Thread from yesterday with what has been tried already is here)

So the clean boot didn't help either?

Hmm, well, I'm running out of ideas. The crash seems to occur when PA starts looking for PA servers on the local net, but I don't know why...

@jables or @mkrater : Could you take a look at this (or one of the network engineers)? The crash report is here: http://crashes.uberent.com/report/index/4536ccb0-f880-4c22-8e00-e2cac2150318
An exception is thrown while PA looks for LAN games somehow. Every mode except for Multiplayer -> Custom works fine. Even 1v1 ranked works. There is something odd going on. Any ideas? Crashes also occur with the firewall off.

I remember we had some other thread like this before. Somebody had crashed the moment he moved to the server browser. Back then I guessed that the only thing in the server browser that could cause a full pa.exe crash was the engine call to look for lan games and hit the bulls eye with that guess.
I think in the end it turned out that some vpn software was doing something that was bad for PA.

You can disable the lookup for lan games by making a simple modification to PA.
In the file <PA>/stable/media/ui/main/game/server_browser.js at the end there is a line:
    engine.call('enable_lan_lookout');

Delete that line. Then try again.

Obviously that "fix" will prevent you from finding lan games.

    Nice!

You'll need to do this every time there has been an update until it gets fixed officially.
By the way, DO you have VPN software installed, like Hamachi or something like that? If so, which?

We're gonna try to get a fix for this in an upcoming build. Thank you for letting us know!
