I haven't deleted a single download since 2001 on my other PC... sadly, it crashed and I was unable to recover them.

What point does your top level thread have? what does it add to proceedings?

don't be that guy. the guy that thinks that every single post absolutely must have a point. Do you really come to this forum for nothing but intense discussions? No fun?

I come here for fun, this is not fun. Too many people think they can post anything they want at the top level. Guess what I have in my downloads folder? Everything I've downloaded since 2001. If OP had written some monologue about nostalgia then I'm cool with that, but OP didn't.

    And you could post that!

In the unrelated discussion board. :p

Edit: And what do you mean "top level"? It's not like we're pro forum posters or anything, we just know what allowed.

@perfectdark please stop trying to enforce your preferences on threads. If you feel a post is spam, or has been posted in the wrong subforum, use the report function and a moderator will look at it and make a decision one way or the other.

Commenting in threads and attacking the OP actually works against you as it keeps the offending threads bumped on the front page (and usually off-topic).

We have a very competent team of people who work to keep this forum tidy - do use the features built into the forum software to help us do our job.

Sos boss. I'm going to take the rest of the day off the forum and you guys can carry on discussing the important topic of scarves for commanders or whatever it is you feel is relevant.

It was. I've actually never lost a file. I backup everything on an internal drive, and back up everything again on an external drive in-case of a fire which I keep in my car.
