I would like to point out an issue in this game. I was playing a game with a friend and 2 bots. We were on one side and the bots were on the other. My friend left, and I continued playing. I managed to annihilate one bot. Then I moved to the catalyst planet(POX Xilaser) and tried building a catalyst. But there was a friendly metal extractor in the way and I built 4 pylons but couldn't finish the super laser because of the extractor. And I looked up how to sell it but nothing came up. I managed to move an orbital laser over the planet the commander was on and finished the game, but I just wanted to point out this issue. Please add in selling if possible. Thank you.
You can turn the building into neutral wreckage that is auto-reclaimed by pressing the delete key or reclaim live buildings by using the reclaim command with a fabber.
Catalysts can be fiddly to place... and i'm pretty sure that there is no way a metal extractor could have blocked placement of the catalyst?
they can and it's quite a common thing actually. Easy enough to solve by reclaiming the extractor though
Fabricators in this game are able to "buy and sell" anything. They can "buy" buildings by constructing one from the buildbar, assisting some other construction, repairing something to full health whether its a unit or structure, or even assisting a nuke silo. They can "sell" using their "reclaim" feature, which disassembles things with their nanolathe, including friendly units, enemy units, destroyed building shells such as when you press delete to self destruct the building, and even trees. You can actually reclaim trees, clearing them and selling them for value. As said above, the fastest way is to delete the structure. Then the destroyed shell wreckage is left behind, and the default click on it is "attack" for combat units and "reclaim" for fabrication units. You can also go to the unit control sidebar, where you find move-repair-assist-attack-patrol-ect, and choose "reclaim". You can even reclaim your own commander partially considering it is worth 25000 metal, except it has 12000 health and if it is attacked after borrowing value from it then it can easily be killed by a nuke or a few units. You can also "replace" that value later by repairing him, replacing the same metal you took out to refill his health.
