Suggestion: Add a "Lock" to the "Ready" button for convenience

    It would be convenient to have a "lock" checkbox to prevent you from going un-ready when the host changes any game options.

    This would be useful in the situation where the host is making a lot of changes as people join, and you trust them to do the right thing, so you can relax and wait for the game to start instead of having to constantly re-click the "Ready" button.

    OMG Yes please. Even renaming the lobby causes people to unready... many a start was delayed by someone that readied once and went AFK, only to unready when I have to add/remove a slot or add a spectator to get the lobby bugs to go away. Or, if the lobby is working, if I change the number of teams or map to account for less players than initially expected.

    that's retarded. the person could just AFK outa there.

    you'd get a 500% increase in AFK starts.

    you guys always think "immediate hard counter!!!" never "consequence?" use your heads.

    If you provide statistics that "500% people AFK" then maybe it might not be the best idea.
    But right now this would be a huge sigh of relief if this where implemented

    Not a great idea to be honest; changes in system, team numbers/team types, eco multiplier and starting options effect game play directly

    keeping it locked for name chages, adding spectator and changing spectator options might be ok though

    tatsujb, although kind of a wang, has a point. I now think this is actually a bad idea.

    But at least the "ready" state shouldn't be undone for things like reducing the amount of slots, or other inconsequential changes to the hosted game.

    Better not. Let's keep it this way. Normally everyone gets ready when everyone has finished loading so you know no one is afk. Because the first minutes in a RTS is deciding.
