i don't really feel like i'm giving anything...i joined 2 years ago (forget what date ) i have 0 followers...probably little number of people would reply to this so...i will let you guys deside so..il be waiting
no one even talks on my profile thingy tho...guess that's what i get for destroying every planet in any map that has a metal planet..
that's the point...all the time i been here it remained at 0...thought fixing the supcom icons and makeing the first unit skin mod (but someone never replyed with the models i sent asking for them to be rigged!) would help change that...i was wrong..
I have followers from mods and from Vanguard. I really am suprised I have any anyway, this isn't a social media site no matter how hard you say it is. Honestly, stay to read and make posts. For followers, put your back into a youtube with funny vids, or make posts on facebook, or join a clan website.
that's like saying computers and the internet aren't addictive. I appreciate you trying to downplay it all to cheer up nuketf, but that's one of the most backward things I've heard here. as for the followers thing I can only agree but they aren't comparable to friends on facebook. following the metaphor, fb friends would be just anyone signed up on the forum that posts.
I'm featful for my life! @nuketf do you feel you've helped PA or any projects on here in any way? If so, stick around. You have 600+ posts, so I can't imagine you'd have done nothing. Some people are better at getting likes than others, probably because of how they word things, but I've seen some good ideas and cool posts that have had 0 likes many times. If you feel like you're helping out, then keep on helping.
It isn't. This is an official place around the game of PA, including it's coordination and feedback. It really is more like work actually. Work that one volunteers for because they like, but work and not social. I would not consider 600 followers on the forums, as valuable as 20 youtube followers, or even 10 facebook friends.
all I'm saying is that uberent forums definitely are social media. especially if you take into account the off topic section. I mean look at the wikipedia definition for christ's sake : Social media are computer-mediated tools that allow people to create, share or exchange information, ideas, and pictures/videos in virtual communities and networks.
You can argue that forums are social media if you like, it doesn't change the fact that forums are not like facebook, which is everyone's goto example of social media. I don't agree with labelling forums as social media. To grossly generalise, social media is a place where people go to do nothing, forums are a place where people go to get things done
I followed him btw. If that helps his ego. Because I do the same for up and coming youtuber channels too. I like the videos anyway. And I am a youtuber nobody myself. If social media was important, that would be where I would find it more important.
it just depends on people's perception. people might say one spends all his time on social media sites and posts a quick thread on a forum but I spend more time here then on facebook by far.
