Why are people going air in 1v1s?

Include me please... As a long time core player for PRO I think it's about time I make a return to pwn some arm players again

Especially considering I kinda' suck at TA, lul.

Follow the strategy and tactics of the person that just beat you, yeah, they are probably **** too, but they were good enough to beat you so it's a good starting point.

Alternatively, watch pro games and follow their moves, but when you fail, be sure to watch the replay and realise where you failed to follow their moves.

Different strokes for different folks. I don't see what is wrong with @squishypon3 method of learning. In fact I found the discussions enlightening. So going this route educated more people. Thanks for the great analysis gang.

I learn by playing against the AI
I keep trying to deviate (online) from my inferno and spinner only all-in but I lose every time I don't do it

Yeah I think I've watched more than twice as many youtube videos and streams of top players playing PA than games I've actually played in PA, and most people in realm don't know that I've only played about 10 matches of PA in the last 5 months and about 30 matches total, because I don't spend the whole game doing the terrible things randoms do despite having barely played the game

tldr: watch youtube videos, you'll get gud (well, not top level gud) without even having to play the game and you'll know next level double wall strats in no time

It won't teach you to deal with random allies who do inexplicably stupid things that you could never have imagined every game though

I have played a grand total of three 1v1s and one custom match. I won one of them with infernos and spinners :^)

Hehe, oh I know. I played a lot in Alpha, and beta- a little in gamma, and like one or two games after release. This was again due to where I lived, internet issues, and a bad computer.

That's why I've come back, very out of practice, and playing the game like I would in Beta.

3+ month gap at least. XD

You guys shouldn't be [bragging?] about playing only a few games surely? And why bother trying to learn by playing the AI? madness!

It's obviously not efficient to start a new thread everytime you lose a game, any player that beats you could tell you enough for you to work on instantly and you can get right back on it.

Complete disagree, I don't want to try learning strats from silver players, id rather listen to the guys I've known since alpha who are now uber tier.

My PC broke 2 months ago, I played 2 games yesterday and I have to admit I had no idea what I was doing. I lost one, won one, and now my rank is massively higher than it was the last time I played 2 months ago. I'm now ranked as the ~80th best player, and I have no idea what I'm doing.
