Whenever I launch PA (Steam Version) anymore, all I get is a black screen with only the mouse showing up. I can hear the introduction movie playing, but when it finishes there is no audio. I know this is not a new problem, but I've looked over the other posts and none of the solutions suggested there have worked (though for all I know I'm doing something wrong.) I know that there is a list of programs that might interfere with the game, but I've looked over my program list and I don't see any of the trouble programs there.

The problem started a couple weeks ago when I was playing and the game crashed. Haven't been able to play since. I have tried to reinstall multiple times but with no success, even after deleting all the files, AppData and Local folders included. Included is my DxDiag. Any help would be appreciated.

Your Intel drivers are very outdated (almost four years old). However, you probably use the NVidia card to play. Maybe the crash caused it to bump it out of the list of programs that should run on the NVidia? Can you put the PA.exe in the x64 dir in the list of programs that should run on the NVidia card?

If that doesn't help, you may want to look into updating your Intel drivers. The latest for your CPU are here:

It's likely the exe won't work for you because laptop manufacturers are annoying sometimes and insist on using their version of the drivers which are usually very out of date. In that case, you need to download the zip instead and follow the instructions here:

(There are also newer drivers for your NVidia, I think, but only by two months.)

Awesome. Looks like something had gotten changed in my settings. Games were supposed to automatically use the Nvidia card. Apparently that was no longer the case. Changed and it is displaying now. Now the only problem seems to be that I can't download that graphics driver update for the Intel set. Went to the site mentioned and tried to download the exe and when I click on accept Licence (even after scrolling to the bottom), nothing happens. As in, I click the button and the screen stays the same. Can click the button all I want and nothing happens. Even the "I disagree" button does nothing. I know that this isn't a forum dedicated to that kind of tech support, but any ideas or other places to look for that driver?

Thanks for the help, by the way.

Edit: Same thing happened when I tried the .zip download.

Well, you know the saying "if it isn't broke, don't fix it", right? :)
I only meant for you to update the driver in case the NVidia settings thingy didn't work out.

(The driver download works fine for me by the way. Maybe try a different browser or something? Or just don't bother. :))
