    @squishypon3
    Doesn't make it safe. I guess its safer though.

    @stuart98
    Lets suppose that's true. There is still the fact that there can be malicious software/spyware which technically aren't viruses, but are sometimes (not always) used to cause problems that don't involve the computer.
    It seems likely that only 1/4 types of malware (not necessarily viruses) has not been discovered, pretty much ever. It also seems likely that only 1/6 of all malware has been detected.
    Viruses are one problem.
    The other kind of malware is another.
    Even the most "secure" places in the world has been breached by Trojan horse malware, which gets past a lot malware detectors.
    Relevant to your post; just because someone makes a picture about something does not make it accurate about that something.
    And one more thing, just because it seems "legit" and shown to be "legit" doesn't mean it is "legit". Look up on your favored search engine "number of unexpected Trojan horse viruses" and you may understand my caution.

    Ill use it anyway only because not many people seem to have had large problems with it or identified it as a problem worth noting, but that doesn't make it free of malware.

    Elodea is a forum member. PAMM isn't a virus. As stated earlier, almost everyone here has it and nothing's happened to anyone.

    Honestly worst-case scenario is that PAMM steals your spare computing resources to run the AI for Elodea's smurf accounts.

    (that's a joke).

    One of the authors of PAMM here, before Mereth ported it to be cross-platform.

    PAMM downloads the following information:
    The only other file operations PAMM does is unzip mod folders after downloading them, reading in the modinfo.json information for installed mods, updating mods.json when a mod is enabled or disabled, or launching PA.exe on request (the path is detected from the PA log file itself). Even if someone was to try and link to a malicious file via a mod, PAMM wouldn't be able to run it, as all it does is try to unzip the downloaded file, and read in the mod metadata from the modinfo.json file.

    There has now been nearly 300,000 mods downloaded via PAMM, which has close to 300 mods on it.

    If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me anything.
